On tracing the journey of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena so far, one finds that Maharashtra Navnirman Sena has implemented innovative programs at every step. We followed organisational ethics with no eye on opportunistic politics. Whenever an elected MLA from any constituency suffers untimely demise, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena does not participate in sub-polls in that constituency. We believe that the people’s vote for a party is assumed for the 5 year period. We consider it unethical to contest sub-elections in that constituency for gathering political power following the death of the concerned electoral representative. Maharashtra Navnirman Sens has a clear standpoint of facing the ballot when the next elections will be announced 5 years later.

Another example worthy of mention is that of Maharashtra (Navnirman Sena) warriors’ training. We were already conducting guidance workshops, gatherings, expert study courses etc from time to time for making the prospective elected representative of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena well trained; but once the party was established, warriors from various fields and from various levels joined Maharashtra Navnirman Sena. We conducted examination of the candidates willing to run elections, in order to let them gain complete information about the respective house, it’s work flow, and routine affairs. The purpose behind this was to introduce all the fresh and enthusiastic volunteers to the local administrative bodies.Since the exam was open for all, innumerable aspirants enrolled for participation, from which the passing candidates were interviewed by party officials and Raj sahib himself. Based on the exam performance and the individual’s networking skill, Maharashtra (Navnirman Sena) warriors were given tickets to contest 2012 Municipal Corporation elections. Maharashtra Navnirman Sena achieved grand success in that election, and in spite of most candidates being novices, they rendered commendable performance in all municipal corporations in first 5 years. It gave the party an office in each municipal corporation. Maharashtra (Navnirman Sena) warriors got to acquire the corporation working in person, and they started acquiring its working method. But the program proved beneficial for the freshest volunteer of the young party.

Which way shall the society with a few thousand years of history, and with a glorious heritage, advance in future? What shall such a society aspire for? The task of charting a roadmap for future development is not a short project of a couple of months or the job of half a dozen people sitting around with a notepad. It required a lot of traveling, and searching through a multitude of books, reports, and research papers. It also needed us to meet and listen to many great people working in various fields, and visit various institutions. Any research requires a discipline, and necessitates the setting up of a methodology to be followed in practice. We carried out all of this over the past few years and the study helped us in understanding what Maharashtra needs to do most essentially. The resulting Maharashtra Development Plan is what Raj saheb presented to the people of Maharashtra with utmost courtesy and detail on 25 September 2014.

Our single honest wish is that the people of Maharashtra accept this plan, give their feedback on the same, and all of us together take Maharashtra to the summit of advancement. Maharashtra Navnirman Sena offers this “Maharashtra Development Plan” with greatest respect to our beloved noble King Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj – who gave us an identity, a sense of self-esteem, and infused in us a cause for living; as well as to those sages and social reformers who built Maharashtra culture.

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena rendered commendable success in 2012 corporation elections in Mumbai, Pune, and Thane; while in Nasik, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena even founded a government. The populace of Nasik frustrated with those political rulers who exploited the city by sway of power gave Maharashtra Navnirman Sena a chance and Raj saheb turned the granted opportunity in to gold in next 5 years.

Political parties ruling for over 20 years cannot utter even a word about what service they are doing to the city, or which projects they are running. But within the first 30 months of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena regime in Nasik, Raj saheb presented complete information about the present condition of development works, projects in progress, their expected time of completion, and long term planning for betterment of the city, in audio-visual form on large screen in the open rally for Kalyan-Dombivli election campaign.

Raj saheb pioneered in the whole country in using a new method of presentation of development works during election campaigns, which were until then known only for cross-accusations and mutual image tarnishing. After the 5 years of tenure as ruling party in Nasik Municipal Corporation, Raj saheb continued to again offer presentations in open rallies of all development works, such as 510 km road construction, the Mukne damn water supply scheme that will disallow problems of water for Nasik for the next 40 years, sold-waste management, fertiliser project, water-purification project, ‘Goda-park’, a field for training students in traffic management, armour museum, herbal medicinal plant garden, and the ‘Smart Nasik Scheme; by which the citizens could get direct access to the municipal corporation. Many dignitaries like Ratan Tata, Babasaheb Purandare and experts and artists alike had expressed satisfaction about development works in Nasik with words of praise.

Raj saheb keeps telling with confidence that he loves to build cities and states up. His policymaking reflects the same passion.Whether Maharashtra Navnirman Sena is in power in some city or not, it neither hinders progress nor creates opposition for nuisance; contrary to it Raj saheb feels no inhibition in sharing his own ideas of development with those in power. This is a sign of spirited politics of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena.

In the same manner in which Raj saheb developed ‘Goda-park’ in the basin of Godavari during the party’s tenure in Nasik Municapal Corporation, he presented a scheme for excellent development of the ‘Balgandharva to Mhatre bridge segment’ in Mula-Mutha river basin in Pune to the officials, mayor, and guardian minister of Pune Municipal Corporation, in spite of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena not being in power. When Raj saheb meets with the Commissioners of many cities, he presents to the officials a plan drafted by the party for development of those cities; and offers suggestions to the administration.
